Ben Askren Started wrestling at Ringers in Middle School, in our youth wrestling club along with his brother Max. Ben was the first Ringers Athlete to Win an NCAA Division 1 National Championship and go to the Olympics.

Ben was an MMA superstar after his Olympic run and has become a face of wrestling for the US and has done a nice job growing a successful wrestling club. US Senior level Freestyle wrestling national champion.

Alex Dieringer was a 3x NCAA National Champion! Alex got his start at a local youth wrestling club and then joined Ringers as he grew to love wrestling. Alex was a standout Wisconsin youth wrestler!

Alex Dieringer suffered a final loss to Jordan Burroughs in 2022 for a world-team spot. Jordan Burroughs went on to win a record 7th world title. Alex did put Jordan to his back in the match!

Why Have Your kids Wrestle?
Confidence
Kids get bullied and can't deal with it. We teach our youth wrestling kids how to be winners while also having empathy for others. High school wrestling is also offered at most schools. Starting as a youth wrestler gives you a huge advantage when it gets time for high school wrestling.
Competitive
Early youth wrestling competition sets the stage for how to approach all sports to win. We don't ever try to push kids into the competition but, performing well and being in matches teaches confidence and helps children trust the abilities they gain through our process.
Strength & Stability
Many athletes join youth wrestling because what it does for your over all athletics. Core strength and explosive movements are side effects of what we do!
Mental Toughness
Being in a contact sport like youth wrestling, where someone is trying to hold you down against your will teaches humility. From that, mental toughness is born when you learn to fight off your back.

Wrestling is the Oldest Martial Art
Back in the days of the Romans, people were fascinated by wrestling in the colosseum. President Lincoln was known for being in high school wrestling! More UFC champions come from High school wrestling backgrounds over any other discipline of combat sport. Now people start youth wrestling as young as four and have access to elite wrestling coaching to help them improve faster! Plus, lots of access to summer wrestling camps and other tools have changed the sport!
